Regent's Place Estate/Retail

"The Regent’s Place Estate website is yet again a fantastic example of the great work Contented.it has done in collaboration with Assembly. Not only are the finished elements that Contented.it produced outstanding, but the help and organisation throughout the project was exceptional.

Tracy Lawrence, Senior Project Manager

The Regent's Place Website is a showcase for the new office, retail, and residential complex being developed in Regent's Place London by Architecture company British Land. The site provides information about the complex to residents and potential customers on a whole range of topics, from details of the development, its facilities, and occupiers, to local events, amenities, and travel information.

Designed and managed by London design agency Assembly Studios, Contented.it Ltd was commissioned to develop a fully content managed, enterprise website using our in-house developed website framework software.

The website is fully database driven, and uses URL rewriting technology to enable pages to be created and managed directly from the database. A dynamic application list enables site administrators to use the page content management system to select which application will appear on the page. The CMS then embeds the required content management systems directly into the page edit interface to enable simple management of page specific data for the selected application.

A number of bespoke applications are available for website administrators to embed on pages of the site: Hub pages enable easy access to content in sub-sections of the website, and is used to highlight new and relevant content. The shops and services section integrates a bespoke Google Map application with a custom database to enable users to view local amenities. Transport links and the latest train times can be accessed through the Connections section, and the events calendar shows the latest events for various local theatres and organisations.

The site has now been upgraded to encompass creation and management of new sections of the site such as the retail section, which uses a skin manager control panel to create a new colour scheme with the same branding for a new section of the website.
